Resumen
El estudio del Estado ha sido históricamente la columna del pensamiento social. Actualmente, es tarea imprescindible volver a las bases para retomar ciertas nociones que permitan ver algunos de los problemas actuales por los que atraviesa el Estado y su compleja relación con otros aspectos de la vida social. Para ello, se analizan las visiones de Karl Marx y Max Weber con la finalidad de marcar cómo sus aportes pueden guiar hoy la reflexión sobre el Estado.

Abstract
The study of the state has been historically the spinal column of social thought. Currently, it is an essential task a return to the bases to retake certain notions that allow us to see some of the present problems that go through the state and its complex relation with other aspects of the social life. Consequently, the article analyzes the visions of Karl Marx and Max Weber in order to point out how their contributions can guide the reflection of the state today.
